There has not been winning seasons in recent history for Reedsburg Beaver softball but it happened last year and Head Coach Liz Baker and the staff, along with the players, look to keep the ball rolling so to speak for the 2025 season.

Just about everyone on the roster got to compete this past weekend for the Reedsburg Beaver track and field teams with Reedsburg participating in a pair of indoor meets at Wisconsin Rapids and a large meet at UW-La Crosse, with Mauston serving as the host school.

The Reedsburg Beavers Special Olympic basketball team won both their games at the sectional tournament in Stevens Point on Sunday, March 16. These two victories earned the Beavers a trip to the state basketball tournament, which will be at UW-Oshkosh April 11-13.

Another season of Badger Conference boys hockey is in the books with the two divisions combining into one large conference for this just completed season. As a result, the size of the All-Conference first and second team units, recently announced, also have expanded.

Reedsburg’s boys basketball team had a lot of positives on the court in this just completed season but they excelled even more in the classroom. Reedsburg’s team GPA was 3.856 and that was the highest among all the D-2 boys squads in Wisconsin, possibly a first in the history of the program.

Reedsburg’s boys track and field team is looking for more success after an historic season in 2024 with the boys and girls tracksters kicking off the indoor season this spring this week with a pair of events.

The top players in the Badger Conference girls hockey season were recognized recently with the announcement of the All-Conference teams for the 2024-2025 season.

The School District of Reedsburg has made several sports-related hires.

Bill Oakes has been named the new head coach of RWD hockey. Oakes has more than 20 years of hockey coaching experience.

Reedsburg Beaver Wrestling just completed one of the best seasons in program history, a statement that could be made each of the past four years, as the Beavers are in the midst of a dominant stretch in their program’s history. Coach Rob Bautch’s squad recently celebrated the 2024-2025 season with the awards banquet.

High school softball players across the state may have been able to take advantage of some mild weather early this week as Monday marked the first official day of the 2025 pre-season.
