It was a fairly quiet week for the Reedsburg Beaver track and field teams with just one meet on Saturday at New Lisbon with some of the top performers not competing.
Reedsburg has yet to taste defeat, as a team, on the tennis court this spring as the Beaver boys have won the first five dual matches of the season but only one has been within the conference.
Reedsburg has not beaten a traditionally strong Mount Horeb program in high school girls soccer action for several seasons and that made last week’s first match a satisfying one for the Beavers, who opened the conference season with a 1-1 draw at Mount Horeb last Tuesday.
Reedsburg extended the win streak to four in a row with a couple of impressive wins on the softball diamond this past week as the Beavers sit at 4-2 overall and 2-1 in conference coming into this week.
On Thursday, Reedsburg played a fine all-around game at Nishan Park in a 9-0 win over Sauk-Prairie in Badger Small action.
The 2024 season would have to be labeled a strong one for the Reedsburg Beaver Boys Tennis team and Head Coach Andy Gesteland is looking for more of the same this spring.
Coach Mark Johnson and the Reedsburg Beaver boys golf squad was hopeful of opening the season this week on Tuesday at Lake Wisconsin but cold and inclement weather could put those plans in jeopardy.
So far, so good for the Reedsburg Beaver baseball team who is off to a 2-0 start with wins last week over Tomah and Wisconsin Dells to kick off the 2025 season.
The depth for this year’s Reedsburg Beaver girls soccer team is being tested right out of the chute with three matches in four nights this past week in the regular season to begin regular season.
