The streak is over.
Now, Reedsburg’s boys tennis team hopes to start a new one.
The Beavers began the season 5-0, but dropped a 4-3 decision to visiting Baraboo on April 17. Reedsburg then lost a pair of non-conference matches at the DeForest Quadrangular last Saturday.

Combining brisk, early season weather and a 100-pitch count limit makes it extremely difficult for a high school pitcher in Wisconsin to throw a seven-inning complete game in April.

It felt like winter but the spring sports season continued for the Ithaca/Weston co-op high school track and field program last Tuesday at North Crawford, the first outdoor meet of the season.
Despite winter-like conditions prevalent last Tuesday, the Reedsburg Beaver boys golf season began at the Varsity level at Lake Wisconsin for an Invite on Sauk-Prairie’s home course.
Reedsburg has not beaten a traditionally strong Mount Horeb program in high school girls soccer action for several seasons and that made last week’s first match a satisfying one for the Beavers, who opened the conference season with a 1-1 draw at Mount Horeb last Tuesday.
Things didn’t go as well for the Weston softball team last Thursday at Seneca after a respectable showing against De Soto in the first game in three years for the Silver Eagle girls. Seneca has a solid program and they took down the Weston girls, 17-0, in 5 innings last week.
The first two games of the Weston Silver Eagle baseball season have been tense, low scoring affairs with outstanding pitching leading the way for Coach Brent Jennings squad. After a 2-0 win at De Soto to kick off 2025, the Silver Eagles won 2-1 last Thursday to get off to a 2-0 start to the conference season.
