The ground game has been nothing short of prolific through the first two games of the season for the Reedsburg Beaver football team.

For the second week in a row, the Wonewoc-Center/Weston Silverwolves football co-op dug themselves a hole in the first half and could not recover. The Silverwolves fell to state-ranked North Crawford in week one of the eight-man football season and then suffered a loss this past Friday, 35-8, against Valley Christian in Oshkosh.

As they did a year ago, the Weston Silver Eagle girls volleyball team opened the season with a 3-0 sweep over Coulee Christian last week with this win coming on the road. Weston was victorious by scores of 25-12, 25-19 and 25-13 to open the season with a non-conference victory.

A couple of young men helped get the cross-country season underway for Weston High School last week at the Westby Invitational.

Lots of new faces dot the roster of the Reedsburg Beaver boys soccer team in 2025 as regular season play kicks off this week.

Coach David Fitzpatrick has holes to fill after a group of 11 seniors departed the program last season.

More interest in the sport among the school’s athletes is a big reason for optimism for River Valley Blackhawks cross country in this 2025 season, which is now underway.
