The season is still alive for the Reedsburg Pirates baseball team as Reedsburg continued its recent success in Night League Home Talent play with an 8-0 win in the opening round of the Playoffs last week at Nishan Park vs. Pine Bluff/Mount Horeb at Nishan Park.

Beaver Boys Basketball Coach Ty Horkan steps away from program

The Reedsburg Beaver Boys Basketball program will have a new leader for the 2025-2026 season.

Ty Horkan, head coach for the previous two seasons and interim coach at the end of the 2022-2023 season, announced that he will cease his head coach duties for the upcoming season.

Pirates fall to Arena, Middleton in Home Talent Baseball

Two games and, unfortunately for the Reedsburg Pirates, two losses this past week in Home Talent Baseball action.

Reedsburg, the Northwest Night League Champions, closed out the regular season schedule with a loss at Arena before dropping a second-round Playoff game in the Sunday League at Middleton and both were shutouts.

Caz Reds earn playoff berth with Night League win at Sauk

For the first time since the re-birth of the Cazenovia Reds in 2016, the Reds are a playoff team in Home Talent Baseball. The Reds secured a berth in the Night League Playoffs last Thursday with a dramatic, come-from-behind win at Sauk-Prairie by a final count of 10-5.

Spring Green Dolphins place 3rd in Conference Swim Meet

The Spring Green Dolphins wrapped up the summer swim season with a strong third place finish in the eight-team Tri-County Conference Swim Meet in Verona this past weekend. Cross Plains was the team champion at 2,469 team points with Sun Prairie second with 2,106.5 points and Spring Green was third with 1,833 team points.

Floggers team continues to lead Golf League

Floggers has widened its lead atop the Monday Night Men’s Golf League at the Reedsburg Country Club.

Entering the July 28 competition, the Floggers had 1,060 points for the season, with Cellox and First Weber in a second-place tie at 1,007 points.

Five weeks remain before the playoffs begin.
