Throughout our lives all of us experience many interdependent relationships, one of which is learning to rely upon one another. We can begin at the very earliest age and see the dependence of children upon their parents or some other adult. From childhood on throughout life, we have this need of dependence.
Take time when you are discouraged to find some peace of mind and heart and being. Discouragement comes into every person’s life whether young or old, rich or poor. It can drain you of every ounce of energy that one may have throughout life if left unchecked. It affects everyone around you.
You see your share of celebrating and mourning after a Presidential Election.
This time, however, more people seem subdued. That’s not to say there’s no enthusiasm or disappointment. You can find all kinds of videos on YouTube right now. It just seems as though a lot of people are done with politics.
I think I know how you feel, all of you who are disappointed in the results of the election. I rarely end up backing the winning candidate. In fact, I still have my George McGovern poster! When our hopes and fears are tied up with a candidate that we believe will do the best for us and our families, the loss can feel devastating.
It is with much sadness that I have to announce that Safe Harbor Homeless Shelter in Reedsburg is closing their doors. For the past 14 years we have helped hundreds of women and children get back on their feet and become confident, independent and productive members of their communities.
Joe Biden and Kamala Harris want to unify what's left of this republic, but they won't get any help from me. I'm an independent voter disgusted by both political parties but especially so the Democrats.

Today, November 11, is Veterans Day. A day when normally veterans all over the area would be attending programs at the schools and giving children a chance to thank them for serving our country. This year, sadly, that isn’t possible.
