A View of the Valley

by Linda Schwanke ‘Tis the holiday season. Homes and halls are decked to the max with holly and lights and glitter. While I am not personally a fan of holiday lights, I am willing to admit that the Valley is beautiful in the evenings all lit up.

Letter: Lions Club collects money for Food Pantry

Last year the Reedsburg Lions Club spearheaded an effort to raise funds for the Reedsburg Area Food Pantry. We are doing it again this year. Between now and Dec. 15, the club is collecting donations from its members as well as members of the community. The club will match donations, dollar for dollar, up to $1,000.

Christmas in the time of plague, a Christmas unlike any other. We have never needed peace on earth and good will towards men more than we do right now. And in these dark and lonely days, we long for the return of light and warmth. I drift so easily towards what I miss about this season.

Letter: Candy Cane Lane is wonderful distraction

Thank you to the people on Sunset Drive for the great idea of decorating. I drove up there and it is really nice. At a time like this it is great to be able to think of something else for awhile.
