It has become increasingly apparent that the controversy over development, control and implementation of library policies has become a lose/lose situation.
Survival, Alaskan Style
Given how the pandemic has left many feeling isolated, I debated the wisdom of recommending a book which mirrors those feelings. On the other hand, reading about someone else’s trouble beats focusing on your own, especially when it comes in the form of good fiction.
Will this be the year that we get our lives back? Will we find a way to live more normal lives? Sometimes I muse about what I miss the most and I imagine being able to live in that ideal world again.

The Arena VFW held their raffle that was scheduled in May which, due to Covid-19, was postponed until December 12 at the monthly steak feed. The 65 inch flat screen TV was won by Gail Forseth and the rifle was won by Richard Amble. Shirley Anding won the soldier silhouette.
For the past 23 years, countless volunteers and donors have discovered the joy of sharing through Reedsburg Area Helping Hands (RAHH). Amidst the hustle and bustle of the holiday season something amazing happens.
