Plain Lions fundraiser takes place in picturesque setting

Many a vehicle stopped at the Brat Stand on their way north on Highway 23 towards Reedsburg on May 30. Part of the local experience, it was even possible to enjoy River Valley’s graduation ceremony that morning and then grab a dog on the way home for lunch. (Photo by Joe Block)

The 11th annual Plain Lions OccuPaws Brat Stand sold 648 wieners May 29 and 30. Located prominently on Highway 23 in Plain, next to Tall Paul, the stand was tucked away in the crook of the Honey Creek Valley. The Midwest was in the midst of a beautiful stretch of 75-degree, sunny days, and high school graduation was in the air that weekend.
