Next Concert in the Park features Big Griffy Jim and the Polka Dots

Reedsburg’s next Concert in the Park will highlight a polka band.

Big Griffy Jim and the Polka Dots will entertain at 6:30 p.m. June 24 at Reedsburg City Park.

Admission is free but donations are appreciated to support the series. Food will be available for purchase.

RAMC again named Best Place to Work

Reedsburg Area Medical Center is once again a Best Place to work in Healthcare.

Modern Healthcare selected RAMC for its rankings. RAMC previously earned a place on the list in 2020, 2022, 2023, 2024, and 2025.

Exact rankings will be revealed at an awards ceremony on Sept. 16.

La Valle Library offers floats and sidewalk art

On June 25, the La Valle Public Library will offer family friendly fun from 3 to 5:30 p.m.

Visitors can draw on the sidewalk with chalk, and then inside for a root beer float. There will also be information on the summer reading challenge, with opportunities and prizes for all ages.

There is no charge to participate.

K9 officer will visit Community Market

K9 Remi of the Reedsburg Police Department will make a special appearance during the Reedsburg Community Market, which will be from 2 to 4:30 p.m. June 18 at the shelter at Main Street and Webb Avenue.

Visitors can meet the dog and his handler, and learn more about how K9s work.

Viking Village opens brat stand for summer

Viking Village Foods has opened its brat stand for the season.

It will be open Fridays through Aug. 18. Serving hours are 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

This year’s proceeds will go toward the Summer Outdoor Adventure Club (SOAC).

The Sauk County Institute of Leadership (SCIL) hosted its April session, Leadership in Nature or Natural Leadership?, on Thursday, April 9, at White Mound County Park, bringing together leaders from across the county for a day focused on environmental insight, community impact, and leadership development in natural settings.
