Habitat for Humanity of the Wisconsin River Area will celebrate the start of its next home on April 11.

 A build rally will happen from 4 to 6 p.m. at Captain Bob’s Park in Lake Delton. The public is invited to attend to see blueprints, meet the family and sign up to volunteer.

The Sauk County Humane Society has unveiled its pets of the week, with comments from shelter staff. They are as follows.

Fox squirrels (often incorrectly called red squirrels) likely gained their common name from coloring similar to a red fox. 

Food source lists are long, including taking entire corn ears to an eating or cache location, while grays eat the embryo from each kernel and leave the remainder.
