In the olden days, when I was younger, I had only one doctor. Bob Mortimore handled everything with good cheer. But then Bob retired and I grew old. No longer is one doctor enough to tend my various ailments.
Memorial Day is just around the corner, and this usually means a three-day weekend for our students and families. It can also mark the unofficial start of summer. But, more importantly, it is a day to honor our military personnel…past and present.
I love the people who have dandelions in their yards! I love the people with a brush pile by the shed and the bird feeders hanging in the trees. I love the people who understand about sharing the earth with other creatures.
In small towns such as Sauk City, residents tend to know one another. Many are neighbors, families, and friends. But when possible nefarious action by a few occur, it is paramount to bring these actions forward for public scrutiny, especially when the public is and/or maybe affected.
There's more to the year 2026 than the 250th birthday of our democratic republic; it also marks the 30th anniversary of President Clinton's disgusting "Citizenship USA" (CUSA) scandal that naturalized nearly 1 million foreigners just in time for the 1996 election.
