Marsh marigold blooms yellow beginning in early April, but not everywhere.
As suggested by the name, this is a lowland plant and can be found blooming along with skunk cabbage along springs. Other populations growing in marshy areas that are not spring fed are not to be found until much later, but don’t give up.
