Since March, public schools have provided food to more than 31 million children in Wisconsin.
According to the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction, meals were distributed through lunch and breakfast programs and summer meal offerings. These programs are federally funded by the DPI. A final count of meals was done Aug. 20.
