River Valley gymnasts look to close out season with strong performance

The regular season .is now complete for River Valley High School gymnastics after the Valley girls competed at the Platteville Invite on Saturday. River Valley put up a team score of 105.85 which has been pretty consistent with where they’ve been most of the season and the Blackhawks trailed the other eight squads in the final team scoring.

Beaver girls hoopsters play 4 games in a 7-day span

It was an NBA-like schedule this past week for Coach Mark Simon’s Reedsburg Beaver girls basketball who played three conference games in a span of four days. Reedsburg hosted McFarland on Tuesday at RAHS, played a rare make-up game on a Wednesday at Fort Atkinson on Wednesday and then were back on the home floor Friday vs.

Badger Lightning girls look to WIAA tournament play

The Badger Lightning has five wins this season in high school girls hockey action and two of them are against conference foe Viroqua and both have been shutouts, including a 5-0 win this past week as goaltender Olivia Renneberg needed to make just 12 saves to earn her third shutout of the season.

Three girls advance for River Valley wrestling

Makenzie Schulte at 126 pounds and Raelynn Ragsdale at 152 pounds both won WIAA Regional titles for the River Valley girls wrestlers at Waunakee on Friday night, with 165-pounder Elle Osborn also advancing with a second-place finish. These three wrestlers will represent Valley at the WIAA Mineral Point Sectional this Friday.

Reedsburg alum makes All-District at UW-Whitewater

A former Reedsburg Area High School student has been named Academic All-District at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater.

Nicole Riberich of Rock Springs was one of 21 student athletes acknowledged by the College Sports Communicators for the 2025 season.

I/W crowns 3 champs at Scenic/Ridge/Rivers Wrestling Tournament

Ithaca/Weston had less than 10 wrestlers on the mat for Saturday’s Scenic/Ridge/Rivers Conference Tournament at North Crawford High School but all of them performed well as I/W worked their way to a third-place team finish.
