RAHS hands out soccer awards after girls 2026 season


The team awards for the 2026 Reedsburg Beaver girls soccer team have been handed out by first year Head Coach Jeremy Grundahl. Award winners include Sam Laffey (Leadership Award), Claire Siedschlag (Catalyst Award), Maddie Miller (Dedication Award), Sydney Olson (Champion Award), Kate Brandt (Coaches Award). Olson was also chosen as an All-Conference first team selection while Miller and Gracie Wilke were honorable mention All-Conference choices for the Beavers. (School District of Reedsburg photo)

Caz Reds win 2 of 3 league games over weekend

It was a very good weekend for Cazenovia Reds baseball. The Reds played three league games in less than 72 hours, all at the Cazenovia Memorial Park, and won the first two before falling just short in the third as the Reds played their best baseball of the season to date.

RAYS announces summer schedule

Reedsburg Area Youth Softball (RAYS) has released its schedule for the 2026 season.

For the first time, RAYS will also have games for U8 teams.

Here is the full schedule for this season.

June 5, U12 vs. Adams, 5:30 p.m.

June 18, U14 vs. Dells, 6 p.m.

June 23, U12 vs. Portage, 5:30 p.m.

Reedsburg’s Mikonowicz places fourth in 200 at WIAA State Track and Field Meet

Reedsburg’s long string of consecutive years of having at least one athlete qualify for the WIAA State Track and Field Meet in D-1, even though Reedsburg is one of the smaller schools in D-1 for track and field, stayed alive this year as senior Will Mikonowicz competed as a sprinter in the boys 100 and 200 meter dashes.

Rock Springs woman chosen for sportsmanship team

Nichole Riberich of Rock Springs was one of 20 students from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater to be selected to the All-Sportsmanship Teams. She was chosen for women’s soccer.

Students were chosen by the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference.

A two-game win streak had the River Valley Blackhawks baseball team feeling good going into a WIAA D-3 Regional semi-final Tuesday, but a strong Mineral Point team proved to be too much for Valley.

River Valley’s Ayden Hill places 5th in D-2 Boys 200 at WIAA State Track

Senior Ayden Hill shook off some mid-season injuries to earn a trip to the WIAA State Track and Field Meet for the River Valley Blackhawks, and the sprinter took full advantage with a trip to the podium at UW-La Crosse, placing fifth in the D-2 Boys 200-meter dash.
