The River Valley High School gymnasts showed marked improvement in their second meet of the season this past Friday in Westby at the Tami Effinger Invite. River Valley improved its team score to 111.65, good for sixth place among the eight teams, and there were plenty of individual highlights as well.

The Reedsburg Beaver girls wrestling team won a team title at a tournament for the second time this season this past Saturday, capturing first place in a field of nine schools at La Crescent, Minnesota.
Ithaca/Weston had 8 boys wrestlers in action this past week at the Annual Bi-State Invite in La Crosse and they all had some levels of success. Weston’s Marcus Mc Cauley is one of the coaches for I/W and offers a recap of the tournament.“As a whole the team wrestled well.
The boys and girls wrestlers from River Valley High School competed at the Annual Bi-State Invite in La Crosse this past week, one of the top high school events in Wisconsin each year.
A great way to get the New Year rolling for RWD boys hockey, an 8-2 rout of Stoughton Saturday in a make-up Badger Conference game that gives the Miners a 3-2 league record now after the win.
The only appearance in Reedsburg this season for the Badger Lightning girls hockey co-op was last Tuesday at RACA but it ended up being a 6-0 loss for the home team against Fox Cities, one of the top programs in the state.
The Reedsburg Beaver gymnasts will enter the new year not having yet had a single meet as a hone dual with Monona Grove on Dec. 18 was postponed due to inclement weather and will be made up as part of a triple dual at RAHS with Milton on Feb. 5.
The Ithaca/Weston girls basketball team will kick off the 2026 portion of the regular season on Jan. 5 at Boscobel. I/W has earned two wins overall in nine games with victories over Wonewoc-Center and La Farge and they’ve scored between 35 and 49 points in all nine games.
