New year’s resolutions were never a big thing for me growing up. It’s probably because I was raised with the mentality that you shouldn’t wait to do what needs to be done, nor should you do something just because the calendar flips over to a different year.
Wisconsin’s Legislature has passed landmark education legislation (2025 Wisconsin Act 42), which requires all public school districts to adopt policies by July 1, 2026, to ban students from using personal wireless communication devices during instructional time. This ban will be effective with the start of the 2026-27 school year.
