John D. Rockefeller was one of the richest men in the world. An interviewer once asked him, “How much money is enough?” Rockefeller replied, “Just a little bit more.”

An anti-immigration fellow from La Valle often gives me free publicity in his letters to the editor, as he did in the Aug. 12 Reedsburg Independent. He admitted up front that he has never met me, but then he proceeded to describe me disparagingly and in some detail, as if he has.

If we were all deaf-mute, teaching would take on a whole new set of intercommunications mechanics. Information exchanges would most certainly be a radical removal from all things traditional. The mind would have to leverage the other and remaining human senses and physical appointments to get concepts from points A to points B, C, D, etc.

When you look into a several-thousand-year-old book for answers you will find several-thousand-year-old answers. That is what Rev. Christian McChaffrey has done and that’s what he has found. Unfortunately, many of those answers are years and even centuries out of date. By now, we know that homosexuality naturally exists in other species.

Humane research is vital to the scientific processes we all need to create a better world. However, for research to be humane, it requires consent from all participants. Research occurring at Wisconsin’s National Primate Research Center is not consensual and therefore cannot be considered humane.

The performance of the United States’ K-12 public school system is so poor that nothing less than a major overhaul, something akin to what the state of Maryland is undertaking, will fix its problems.
