The Reedsburg Area Helping Hands Spring Easter Program has begun.

Sauk County group receives ag conservation grant

The Wisconsin Department of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection announced that more than $1 million has been awarded to 49 farmer-led groups to support conservation efforts and clean water.

The Sauk Soil and Water Improvement Group won $30,000.

The Reedsburg Area Medical Center Birth Center Team recently attended the Spinning Babies Workshop to learn more about a certain aspect of maternity care.

Spinning babies focuses on birth positioning and the mother’s anatomy. The goal is to help babies be best positioned for delivery.

La Valle library receives grant from Packers Foundation

The Friends of the La Valle Public Library announced that the group received a $3,000 grant from the Green Bay Packers Foundation in support of library programming.

The check was presented to Director Natalie Jones and Friends member Pegg Conderman at a luncheon and program held in December in the Green Bay Packer Field House.

Sauk Prairie Police investigate gun death

The Sauk Prairie Police Department is investigating the discovery of a body with a gunshot wound on Feb. 21.  At 3:06 a.m. officers were dispatched to a resident “located in the 600 block of 21st St. in the Village of Prairie du Sac,” according to a press release.

Mobile food pantry is Feb. 26

Sacred Heart’s next mobile pantry will be Feb. 26 at the Reedsburg VFW parking lot.

Distribution will begin at 4 p.m. and continue while supplies last.

Anyone who needs food is welcome to participate.

This is a drive-through-only event; remain in your vehicle and volunteers will bring food to place in your trunk.
