Obituary: Josephine Haire

Josephine Haire, age 96, of rural Lake Delton, Wisconsin, passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 3, 2024 at her home.

A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, February 24, 2024 at 11:30 a.m. at the Picha Funeral Home in Lake Delton with Chaplain Dave Borton officiating. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at 11:30 a.m. Burial will follow at Butterfield Cemetery.

Josephine was born January 8, 1928, in Packwaukee, Wisconsin, the daughter of Richard and Melissa (Nowland) Ferge. Josephine worked at Badger Ordinance during the Korean War and the Vietnam War for several years. She also worked at Hank’s Crafts in Reedsburg, WI, as well as Coils & Soil Test, both in Baraboo, WI. She was a housekeeper for several resorts in the Wisconsin Dells area. Josephine enjoyed artwork, wood crasting and loved her flower gardening.

Josephine is survived by her son, Robert, as well as several nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Lyle and her 3 brothers and 2 sisters.
