Obituary: Joann M. Feltz

Joann M. Feltz, 87, passed away surrounded by family Monday, January 29, 2024. She was born August 3, 1936 on the family farm in Loganville, WI to the late Ariel and Agnes Reimer. On November 16, 1957 she married Lloyd Feltz. They moved to Sugar Grove, Illinois in 1965.

She worked in banking for thirty years before retiring and then serving at Lutheran Bible Translators. As a teenager, she played piano at church services and then enjoyed playing the organ as an adult. She enjoyed traveling and bird watching. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and cherished friend. She was a kind and gentle soul, and her many acts of love will be held in our hearts.

Survivors include a husband, Lloyd Feltz; son, Dale (Lisa) Feltz of Bristol, IL and two daughters, Bonnie (Scott) Taylor of Plano, IL and Lisa Feltz of North Aurora, IL; eight grandchildren, Doug, Mitch and Angela Feltz, Corrine (Shawn) Hannigan; Sarah Grace Taylor, Megan (Kyle) Jurgensen, Amy (Justin) Gauer, and Rebecca (Nick) Jackson. Great grandchildren include Adelyn, Declan, and Liam Hannigan, Logan and Brayden Jurgensen, Hunter Gauer, and Greyson Jackson.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Orland and David, and her granddaughter Candra Cox.

The family would like to thank caregivers Brooke and Sonia for being there from beginning to end as well as Jayden, Sarah, Laura, Nancy, Fay, and all those with Advocate Hospice.
