Obituary: Donald L. Toeder

Donald L. Toeder, age 79, of Reedsburg, died peacefully on Wednesday, April 14, 2021 in his home. He was born on June 10, 1941 in Reedsburg, the son of Elmer and Helen (Schenkat) Toeder. Donald was a 1959 graduate of Webb High School. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving with the Chemical Division. On April 8, 1989, he was married to the former Katholeen R. Klingaman. Donald was a lifelong farmer in the Township of Excelsior.

Survivors include his wife of thirty-two years: Katholeen; three sons: Rick (Angie) Cohoon, of Oxford; Ron Cohoon, and his fiancée, Miranda, of Maryland, and Wesley Wright (Muriel), of Reedsburg; three grandchildren: Amyiah, Amber and James; numerous great-grandchildren; his brother: David (Karen) Toeder, of Reedsburg; two nieces; other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; his brother: John Toeder and his special dog: Oreo.

Funeral services were conducted at 3:00 P.M. on Saturday, April 17, 2021 at the Hoof Funeral Home in Reedsburg. Military honors were provided by the Reedsburg Area Veterans Honor Guard. There was a visitation from 1:00 P.M. until the time of the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the family would be appreciated.
