Next deadline approaches for arts, history grants
Sauk County reminds the public that applications will be due soon for two grants.
They include the Arts, Humanities and Historic Preservation Grant and Good Idea Grant. Forms are available at https://www.co.sauk.wi.us/artsandculture.
Completed forms for the Arts, Humanities and Historic Preservation Grant are due by 4:30 p.m. Jan. 22. They can be dropped off at the Extension Sauk County Office, Attn: Arts & Culture Grant Committee, 505 Broadway, Baraboo. Applications can also be submitted in the future by the 21st of each month, but grants will only be given out while dollars last so it’s best to file soon.
These grants encourage art and historic preservation education and community development in Sauk County. They are set aside for nonprofits and governmental entities. Grants of up to $5,000 are available, but these require matching funds.
Good Idea Grants support artists, crafters, musicians, writers and historians in the county. They also benefit organizations committed to the arts, humanities and history.
