Pocan announces he won’t run for Senate in 2022
Congressman Mark Pocan said he will not be a candidate for Senate in 2022.
The Democrat said he’s been asked by constituents if he will run against incumbent Ron Johnson, a Republican, when the seat is up in 2022. He said he was “honored” to be asked by residents but felt he could do more by staying in the House of Representatives. He said he is in the majority in the house appropriations committee but he’d have to start over in the minority if elected to the senate.
Pocan is serving his fifth term in congress and this is his third term on the house appropriations committee.
