Lorna E. Anderson
Lorna E. Anderson, age 92, passed away on November 10, 2020. She was born to the late Art and Ethel Sprecher in the Township of Spring Green, where she was raised. She married Marvin Olson with whom they had two children, later marrying Wayne Anderson, who preceded her in death. Prior to retirement, she worked at Lone Rock State Bank and Occidental Life Insurance. Lorna enjoyed fishing, crocheting and playing cards, but especially loved cooking and baking for friends and family. She was a member of St. James Lutheran Church, Prairie du Sac. Lorna is survived by her daughter, Nancy (Tom) Mueller, Dodgeville and her son, Brad (Carol) Olson, Sauk City. She is further survived by a brother, Milton; stepchildren Dave (Sandy) Anderson and Nancy Sullivan; grandchildren and great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by five brothers, Orville, Ervin, Harlan, Walter, Marvin (Brownie); also two sisters, Arlene and Lorene, and stepdaughter Kathy. The family wishes to thank Baraboo Hospice, Pastor Brad Pearson, Midway Manor residents, and many other friends and family for their friendship and support. Memorials can be made to the St James Lutheran Church or SSM Health Baraboo Hospice. Due to Covid, a private service will be held.
Oral Jean Gilbertson
Oral Jean Gilbertson, age 87 of Spring Green, passed away on Monday, November 16, 2020 at Sauk Prairie Healthcare. Funeral arrangements are pending and will be available at www.staffordfuneralhomes.com. The Richardson-Stafford Funeral Home in Spring Green is assisting the family with the arrangements.
Eugene “Gene” R. Leffler
Eugene “Gene” R. Leffler, age 67, of Lone Rock, died unexpectedly on Friday, November 13, 2020, at his home. Gene was born on April 25, 1953, in Dodgeville to Raymond and Margaret (Mulcahy) Leffler. He was a 1971 graduate of Dodgeville High School and a graduate of S.W.T.C. Autobody Repair course. Gene was a truck driver for many years, most recently driving for Town & County Sanitation. In his spare time, Gene enjoyed working on his cars. He was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond and Margaret Leffler and a sister, Alice Leffler. Gene is survived by a sister, Jane (David) Clay of Pflugerville, Texas; four brothers, Fr. Richard Leffler of Potosi, William (Ann) Bauer-Leffler of Platteville, Donald (Melanie) Leffler of Dodgeville and Michael Leffler of Boscobel; as well as many nieces, nephews and friends. Coralie T. Vanvliet
Coralie T. Vanvliet, age 85 of Richland Center, passed away on Saturday, November 14, 2020, at Our House in Richland Center following an extended illness. She was born on March 13, 1935, in Antigo, the daughter of John and Cora (Waldvogel) Lenzner. Coralie was married on August 19, 1961, to Lewis Vanvliet and was a member of St. Mary the Assumption Catholic Church in Richland Center. She enjoyed being outdoors in her garden and was an avid quilter when she was able to. Survivors include her daughters, Kristine (John) Lupton of South Carolina, Maria Schauf of Spring Green; five grandchildren, Katelyn Lipscomb, Alyssa (Tommy) Breternitz, Cody Schauf and Kala Gibson, Allison Frank, Jenna Schauf; a step-granddaughter, Heather (Eric) Leadbetter; five great-grandchildren, Ella and Emmit Breternitz, Beau and Carter Schauf, Asher Lipscomb; a brother, Jack (Mary Ann) Lenzner of Neenah; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Cora Lenzner; her husband, Lewis Vanvliet; a brother, David, a sister, Maxine Lenzner; and a step-grandson, Michael Lupton. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, November 20, 2020, at 11 a.m.. at St. Mary the Assumption Catholic Church, Richland Center. Monsignor Roger Scheckel will officiate with burial in the church cemetery. Visitation will be held on Friday at the church from 9:30 a.m. until the time of Mass.
