Janet Olson Suhr Janet Olson Suhr died October 2, 2021, at the age of 99. She was born in Wyoming Valley on a farm to Kenneth and Esther (Rekow) Olson on May 9, 1922.  She loved music and took piano lessons at Taliesin.  She graduated from Spring Green High School and later from St. Mary’s School of Nursing in Madison in 1943.  She married her high school sweetheart, Harold Bonson, after World War II in 1945.  They had two daughters, Kristi Bonson Rothstein of St. Augustine, Florida, and Vicki Bonson of Minneapolis, Minnesota. She was remarried in 1972 to Robert (Shep) Suhr, with whom she shared five years until his death. Janet was an accomplished seamstress, loved music, reading, dancing, gardening, cooking, and golf. She retired to her beloved hometown of Spring Green in 1980 where she shared her time and talents.  She volunteered as a hospice nurse and as a seamstress for American Players Theatre (APT).  She was active in the Wyoming United Methodist Church serving as treasurer and assisted with Hymn Sings.  She was a 50 year member of Eastern Star. She adored her mini-dachsund, Heidi, and moved with her to Florida in 2004. She was a dedicated and loving mother who will be missed by her daughters, Kristi and Vicki, their spouses, Jeff Rothstein and Mark Jung, grandson, Sascha Rothstein, stepdaughter, Jill (Peter) Pett, granddaughter, Diedre, and great-granddaughter, Mercedes. She is survived by her sister- in- law, Carol Olson, and many nieces and nephews, as well as special relatives Dixie Miller, Marion Iowa, Kaye Joiner, Hixton, and cousin David Johnson and Mary, Chicago, Illinois. She was predeceased by her parents, Kenneth and Esther Olson; husbands, Harold Bonson and Robert Suhr; and her brothers Dean and Lowell Olson. Memorials may be made to an animal shelters or rescue.
