  Serene M. Zwettler Serene M. Zwettler, age 60 of Reedsburg, and formerly of Plain, passed away following a brief illness on Wednesday, December 6, 2023, at Casa de Oakes in Reedsburg.  She was born on October 16, 1963, in Pine Bluff, the daughter of Raymond and Doris (Keller) Zwettler.  Serene was a member of St. Luke’s Catholic Church in Plain. Serene worked several years at VARC and Pizza Ranch.   She enjoyed many happy days at the Plain swimming pool, was an avid bowler, participated in Special Olympics, and took numerous trips including Disney, Nashville, and to watch the Green Bay Packers. Serene had a special ability to bring joy to everyone around her. And if something wasn’t right, she knew. Survivors include her brothers, Joseph (Jan) Zwettler of Waunakee, David (Becky) Zwettler of Spring Green, Douglas (Janet) Zwettler of Denver, Colorado, Van Zwettler of Boise, Idaho, nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.  She was preceded by her parents, Raymond and Doris Zwettler. A Mass of Christian Burial was held on Tuesday, December 19, 2023, at St. Luke’s Catholic Church in Plain with burial in the church cemetery. A special thanks to all the staff and caregivers at Case de Oakes and Agrace. The family expresses their deep appreciation to Dave and Becky Knull and their family who welcomed Serene into their home with love and care.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to ARC or Special Olympics.
