Nancy W. Aeschlimann

MOUNT HOREB / MAZOMANIE – Nancy W. Aeschlimann, age 89, passed away on Sunday, April 19, 2020, after a long illness. She was born on March 18, 1931, to Floyd and Gladys (Hawley) Wilson of Mazomanie. She lived there all her life until she married John Aeschlimann on Sept. 24, 1983, and she moved to his house on Bell Road in rural Black Earth. They moved to the Homestead in Mount Horeb in the fall of 1999. John passed away in November 2000 and Nancy stayed at the Homestead, enjoying many good friendships there until March 2020. She was able to stay in her own home that long because of her Agrace HospiceCare nurse Mark and the whole orange team. She lived her last two months at Girlie’s Manor where Lance and his staff took good care of her.
She is survived by her daughters, Joan (Jon) Clark and Carol (Peter) Wakeman; her grandchildren, Stacey (Doug) Bohachek, Natalie (Ben) Sullivan, Naomi (Nathan) Maunders, Stuart (Danielle) Wakeman, Ben Clark (Chelsea Payne), Hayley Clark (Dan Mensing), Victoria Wakeman (Ed Garcia), Lisa (Jason) Jeffers and Amy Perkins; and great-grandchildren, Brett, Shelby, Rhyen, Avery, Ian, Sadie, Dylen, Griffin, Lillian, Henry, Hunter, Simone, Heath and Dutch. She is further survived by her stepchildren, Pam Webb, Debra (Bob) Eveland, Linda (Larry) Keister, Wayne, John (Susie), Steven (Tricia) Aeschlimann, and Tina (Jay) David; 14 step-grandchildren; and 29 step-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, John; her parents; and sister, Jeanice Harrington.
She loved to travel, and traveled extensively with Jeanice. Her husband John was a more reluctant traveler but she got him to Switzerland – twice! Besides her children, grands and greats, she loved her Packers, Badgers and Brewers.
A private celebration of Nancy’s life will be held at a later date. Memorials may be made to Agrace HospiceCare. Online condolences may be made at www.gundersonfh.com.
