Sauk Prairie School District ponders full-time return of students

Conversations about returning students back to Sauk Prairie School District have begun in earnest, as Superintendent Jeff Wright presented the board with a board overview at the February 8 meeting. Wright also included a copious amount of data about COVID-19 infections and schools. No dates are set, and the board took no action, but Wright outlined a schedule where students begin returning in stages in March, beginning with the youngest. Each building will have its own schedule, in order to accommodate differing numbers of students and classes. Wright reported that about one quarter of instructors have received their first dose of the vaccine. Board member James Isaacson read a statement about Black History Month, emphasizing its importance.
