Sauk Prairie School District Marching band 2nd in State, Colorguard best in State

On Saturday, October 15th, the Sauk Prairie Marching Band (top) competed in the Wisconsin School Music Association (WSMA) State Marching Band Championships.  They performed their 2022 production titled “V is for Villain” and took 2nd place in Class AA with a score of 86.013.  The score was also 2nd place overall in Wisconsin among all classes regardless of size!  That is the highest placement and state score since the championships first debuted in 1985.   Additionally, the Colorguard (above) was awarded the best Colorguard in the state of Wisconsin among all classes.  That group was led by senior captain, Kyra Manning, and is instructed by Heather Reader, Felipe Mendoza, Arista Detter & Becca Sibilsky.
