Sauk Prairie High School FFA spending a “Day on the Hill”

Students in Sauk Prairie High School’s chapter of the FFA will meet with state legislators and participate in advocacy training on Monday, February 20, 2023 as part of National FFA Week. National FFA Week runs from February 18th through 25th and is always held the week of George Washinton’s birthday. National FFA Week is a weeklong celebration of the impact these student leaders have on our communities and the agriculture industry. “FFA Day on the Hill” is a day for FFA members to meet with legislators and promote the importance of FFA as part of their K-12 education and beyond. Most student participants will be juniors and seniors in high school. In preparation for the Day on the Hill, FFA students will participate in an advocacy training session on Sunday the 19th. Sauk Prairie High School FFA students look forward to hearing from prominent Wisconsin agricultural leaders, meeting with their local legislators, and celebrating FFA Week. Student displays will be available for viewing in the Rotunda from 8:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. Displays will highlight FFA chapter activities as well as individual student projects.
