Brenda May (Mills) Jones

Brenda May (Mills) Jones, 60, of Lake Panasoffkee, FL/Mazomanie, WI passed away after a long battle with cancer on Saturday, September 23, 2023 at Avante Hospice in Mount Dora, FL. She was born in Sauk City, WI on May 31, 1963 to the late John & Berniece (Babcock) Mills. Brenda was a 1981 graduate of Wisconsin Heights High School. After high school, she worked for the Wisconsin Department of Transportation and then the Florida Department of Agriculture for many years.  Brenda loved music and passed that gift down to her children and grandchildren. She could regularly be found listening to her favorite tunes or watching a live local band. She also enjoyed playing bingo, attending church, crocheting, and phone conversations with her loved ones.  She is survived by her children, Roshell (Kurt) Heckendorf, Steven Jones, and Brooke (Colin) Hobbs. Her grandchildren, Ella Heckendorf, Boone Hobbs and Brody Hobbs. Her siblings, John (Michelle) Mills, Jean Hetzel, Ellen Anderson (Bob), Rosie Mills, Fred (Diane) Mills, Mary (Mark) Pasholk, and Billie Mills. As well as, many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Stephen Mills. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
