Bruce Gerald Martin

Bruce Gerald Martin, of Prairie du Sac, died unexpectedly December 9, 2023 in Lake Elmo, MN. He was born in 1957, graduated from Sauk Prairie High School in 1976, where he was a 3-sport athlete. He received his Bachelor’s Degree from Winona State in 1980; there, he was an all-conference quarterback. Bruce went on to earn his Master’s and then a PhD, and spent his career as an educator, speaker, coach, and first responder. He was preceded in death by his parents Gerald (Jerry) and Betty Martin. Bruce is survived by his wife Kathy, daughter Darcy (Justin), sons Keith LaShomb (Alexandra), Kyle LaShomb (Beth Ann) and Joel LaShomb, 4 grandchildren, brother Scott (Mary) and their son Charles, and sister Lynn (Greg) and their sons Jason and Adam Mulvey. A celebration of life was held in Minneapolis.
