Weston School District converts to virtual learning

COVID-19 has caused a local school district to transition to only virtual learning through at least the end of the month.

The change began Nov. 18 and is scheduled through Nov. 23, after which students and staff will be on Thanksgiving holiday. The next in-person learning day is expected to be Nov. 29.

Weston holds Boo Bash

The Weston School District will celebrate Halloween with its Boo Bash on Friday, Oct. 29.

It will take place from 5 to 7 p.m. at the school.

Trunk or treating start at 5 p.m. Kids can go from vehicle to vehicle to collect candy.

The Monster Mash Dance will start at 6 p.m. and will be held on the playground blacktop.

Weston seeks vendors for craft fair

The Weston School District plans to hold its 40th Annual Craft Fair this year.

It is scheduled from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Nov. 27.

This year’s event will use both school gymnasiums to allow more space for the event. Shoppers will enter through the elementary school doors and make their way to the high school.

Tickets go on sale for school musical

The public may now purchase tickets for Reedsburg Area High School’s next theatrical production.

Students will present Rodgers and Hammerstein’s “Cinderella.” Shows are scheduled 7 p.m. Nov. 12, 2 and 7 p.m. Nov. 13 and 2 p.m. Nov. 14 at the CAL Center.

All seats are reserved and cost $15.

Reedsburg school holds spaghetti supper

St. Peter’s Lutheran School will hold a drive-through-only spaghetti supper on Oct. 29.

Hours will be from 4:30 to 7 p.m.

Tickets cost $8 for adults and $4 for children 5 to 12. Kids under 5 eat free.

Tickets may be purchased at the school office or at the event.
