North Freedom, WI. - Dennis R. Penning, age 74 of North Freedom, WI, passed away peacefully on Friday, February 21, 2025.
Dennis was born July 6, 1950 in Waukesha, WI, to Roman and Shirley (Galoff) Penning. He graduated from Waukesha High School in 1968 after having been a Mighty Mite in parochial school, which he always acknowledged.
Mazomanie--Donald L. “Duck” Lawler, 88, a life-long resident of Mazomanie, passed away peacefully on February 25, 2025 after a brief illness. He was surrounded by family and friends throughout his final days. Don was born at the Lawler home in Mazomanie on October 15, 1936 to Verne and Gladys (Heald) Lawler.
Raymond Voigt “Mick” Deakin, passed away at home on February 17, 2025 at the age of 93. Ray was born on May 22, 1931 in Beaver Dam, WI to Viola (Voigt) and George Deakin.
Janice Arlene Mitchell, 79, was born on May 6th, 1945 in Clarence, Iowa, and passed away peacefully in her sleep on February 12th, 2025. Janice’s parents, Albert and Lois (Long) Meyer, had five children. When her mother, Lois, passed away at an early age, her father married Shirley, and gave Janice three more siblings to go through life with.
Alice Ann Hickey, age 86, of River Falls, Wisconsin and formerly of Reedsburg, had her eternal promises fulfilled on Wednesday, February 12, 2025, at River Falls Area Hospital. Alice was born on December 16, 1938, in Menomonie, Wisconsin, the daughter of Edward and Alice (Weiss) Phelan.
Roy James Hiner, age 57, of Wisconsin Dells, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, February 18, 2025, at his home. He was born on November 25, 1967, in Milwaukee, WI, the son of Lamoine and Mary (Ewers) Hiner. Roy was a 1986 graduate of Wonewoc High School. He later received a degree in machining from MATC in Madison.
Terrence “Terry” T. Thompson, age 54, of Reedsburg, passed away on Sunday, February 23, 2025, at the UW Hospital in Madison. He was born on February 24, 1970, in Janesville, Wisconsin, the son of Richard and Pamela (Avery) Thompson. Terry grew up in Edgerton. Terry was a truck driver for many years.
Sauk Prairie--On December 13, 1963, in her home town of Perham, MN, there was great joy when Lenore Janette Silbernagel was born to Norb and Marlene (Rickers) Silbernagel. At home, waiting to welcome their early Christmas gift was sister, Lynette and brother, Tom.
