Dennis Gene DeMars, age 67, passed away peacefully on December 5, 2020, at St. Mary’s Hospital in Madison. Dennis was born on September 27, 1953, to Clarence and Avis (Smith) DeMars and was a life-long resident of Baraboo.
As a child, Dennis grew up on the Highway 33 farm with his parents and 10 siblings.
Bonnie Lou McDermott, age 74, of Wonewoc, WI, passed away on Friday, December 4, 2020, surrounded by her family. She was born on November 18, 1946, in Waukesha, WI, the daughter of Samuel and Hazel (Dingledine) Gygax. In 1968, she was married to Gary McDermott and lived in London, England for a year where Gary was stationed in the Air Force.
Beulah M. Kinney, age 77, of Reedsburg, WI, passed away on Wednesday, December 2, 2020 at Our House Assisted Living. She was born on July 12, 1943 in Richland Center, WI, the daughter of Edward M. and Helen M. (Griffin) Jackson. Beulah was a graduate of Webb High School in Reedsburg. She began her career as a nurses’ aide at St.
M. Feiner, age 83, passed away in Evansville, Indiana, on November, 27, 2020, after a long and fulfilling life. Lena was an intelligent, passionate, thoughtful, and kind person who saw herself as a women’s rights advocate, librarian, and poet.
BLACK EARTH - Mary Joan Flannery, 88, of Black Earth passed away on Sunday, Nov. 22, 2020, at Heartland Country Village, after a long battle with Alzheimer’s dementia. Joan was born on Feb. 14, 1932, to Frank and Gertrude (McGill) Kuchar in her grandparent’s home, on Castle Rock Ridge, in Grant County.
Harlan was born in Loganville, Wisconsin to Carl Behnke and Ellen (Soltwedel) Behnke on October 1, 1934. He attended Rock Springs grade school and later attended Reedsburg High School, where he was actively involved in sports.
