Joyce M. Gerber

Joyce M. Gerber, age 88, of Reedsburg, Wisconsin, passed away peacefully on January 8, 2026, at the Reedsburg Area Medical Center, surrounded by care and comfort.

Joyce was born on March 1, 1937, the daughter of John and Florence (Pabich) Rupprecht. She grew up with a strong sense of family and remained close to it throughout her life. She was a beloved sister to Richard (Jill) Rupprecht and Sandra (Carter) Gowl.

On April 27, 1957, Joyce was united in marriage to William R. Gerber, who preceded her in death. Together they shared many years of love and commitment.

Joyce honorably served her country as a nurse in the United States Air Force, a role that reflected her compassion, dedication, and desire to care for others.

Joyce found joy in life’s simple pleasures. She especially loved fishing, taking casino trips and going to Country Fest, activities that brought her relaxation, fun, and many fond memories shared with family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her son Robert Gerber, who died at birth. 

Joyce was a devoted mother to David W. Gerber and Susan A. (Michael) Hartje. 

She was a proud and loving grandmother to Kyle Gerber, Jordan Gerber, Cody Gerber, Matthew Hartje, and Jennifer (Jason) Schlough, and a cherished great-grandmother to Jackson Schlough.

A private family service will be held on Monday, January 19, 2026 at the Farber Funeral Home in Reedsburg, WI 53959. Burial will be at All Saints Cemetery, Des Plaines, IL. 

Joyce will be remembered for her quiet strength, caring heart, and unwavering love for her family. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew her.
