Florence Mary Bird

Florence Mary Bird, 95 of Prairie du Chien, Wisconsin passed away Tuesday, October 28, 2025 at her home. She was born January 15, 1930 to Walter and Marjorie Bird in Ohio. After graduated high school, Florence attended the California College of Arts in Crafts in Berkeley, California, where she earned her Masters Degree in Arts. 

In in 1949, Florence was united in marriage with William LaMar Heuser. Two children were born to this union. Florence worked as an Artist and Teacher at the California College of Arts and Crafts in Berkeley. She was a member of the Episcopalian Church in Prairie du Chien, Wisconsin.

Surviving Florence are her two children, John (Dawn Felsing) Heuser of West Burke, Vermont and Diane Siegele of Prairie du Chien, Wisconsin; grandson, Ryan (Alissa) Heuser; and three great-grandchildren, Carson, Eden and Lila. Florence was preceded in death by her husband, William Heuser on January 10, 1951; parents, Walter and Marjorie Bird; granddaughter, Amber Diekman; and siblings, Charlie Bird and Jessie Bird.

A Celebration of Life will be held in the spring.
