George Andrew White

George Andrew White, our dear Husband, Father and Grandpa passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 5, 2025.

Born in Chicago, Illinois on July 13, 1935, George was the youngest of seven children born to James and Emma Berglund White. At 17, he proudly enlisted in the United States Air Force beginning what would become a distinguished 26 year career in service to his country. He retired as a Senior Master Sergeant, having earned the respect and admiration of all who served alongside him.

George built a life centered on faith, family, and quiet strength. He shared 67 wonderful years with his wife, Ruth Ann, the love of his life and his steadfast partner in all things. Together they raised their daughter, Traci, and later delighted in their two grandsons, Trey and Tanner, who brought him endless pride and joy.

George will be remembered for his unwavering integrity, gentle humor, and deep devotion to those he loved. He had a way of making everyone feel seen, valued, and at home — qualities that will be deeply missed and forever cherished.

A service celebrating George’s life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, October 17, 2025, at St. John Lutheran Church in Reedsburg, Wisconsin. Pastor Kris Totzke will be the officiant. Visitation will be on Friday from 10:00 AM until 10:45 AM at the church. Burial with military rites will be at St. John’s Cemetery
