Norma F. Jones

Norma F. Jones, formerly of Windsor, WI, age 95, passed away peacefully on Friday, August 29, 2025, at Sunset Ridge memory Care in Jefferson, WI. Norma was born on May 2, 1930, in the Town of LaValle, WI in Sauk County, to Raymond and Nellie (nee Matteson) Decker. She went to Oak Hill Country School near the family farm. Norma attended LaValle High School until 1947. She married Reuben W. Hartje and they went on to have seven children together while living in LaValle. Norma married Lloyd B. Jones on November 30, 1965. They lived in Madison before moving to Windsor in 1975. Norma enjoyed her animals, driving the many areas in Wisconsin, eating at her local restaurant, thrift shopping, reading and gardening.

Norma is survived by her sons, Raymond (Julie) Hartje of Beloit, WI, Donald (Jolene) Hartje of Green Valley, AZ, Gary (Gail) Hartje of Beloit, WI, Richard Hartje of Grand Junction, CO, Thomas (Diane) of San Diego, CA; and daughter, Jean Hartje (Glenn Hoslett) of Waukesha, WI; She is further survived by many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. 

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Lloyd Jones; son, Robert Hartje (married to Virginia of Racine, WI); granddaughter, Jeni Hartje of Grand Junction, CO; and siblings, Robert Decker, Helen Hartje and Grace Pearson.

A memorial service will be held at the Farber Funeral Home, 2000 Viking Drive, Reedsburg, WI, on Thursday, October 9, 2025, at 11:30 AM. Chaplain Daniel Farber will be the officiant. Visitation will be Thursday from 10:30 AM until the time of the service. Burial will be held at Oak Lawn Cemetery in LaValle, WI.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that memorial donations be made to the Wisconsin Humane Society. A special thanks to Amy Schultz, Nettie Scott, Patti Romens, Agrace Hospice Care Team in Janesville, and the staff at Sunset Ridge Memory Care in Jefferson, WI for their wonderful care they all gave to Norma.
