Heights History Scholars head to State

On Saturday, February 15, the following students and their projects advanced from the regional competition of National History Day in Wisconsin to the state competition in May: Eve Calvert with her website, “From Booker T to MLK Jr: Activist Responsibilities and Educational Rights,”  Chloe Hamilton and Ande Frazier-Knoche with their documentary, “Women’s Military Rights in WWII: the Government’s Responsibility for Them,”  Gloria Hellenbrand and Andrew Murray with their exhibit, “Ethical Questions: New Rights and Responsibilities of the US after WWII.”  All the students conducted independent research and then created their projects in Kathy Haig’s research class. If they take first or second place in the state competition in May, they will qualify to compete nationally in College Park, Maryland in June!
