Obituary: David Schulz

February 17, 1960 - January 9, 2024
David Mark Schulz of Roanoke, Va., passed away peacefully after a battle with cancer, on Tuesday, January 9, 2024, at the age of 63. His firm belief in God supported him in his struggle and ultimately gave him peace.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Philip and Dolores Schulz.

He is survived by his three sisters, Mary Wilder (Dave Wilder), Portia Tomlinson, and Ann Cheney (Charles Cheney); his nieces and nephews, Matthew Tomlinson, Elizabeth Worthley (Chad Worthley), Kathryn Tomlinson, Charles Cheney III, and Lindsay Wilder; as well as many cousins, friends, and his beloved cat, Shelby. David will forever be in our hearts.

David was born and raised in Reedsburg, Wisconsin. As a young man he learned to be an automotive mechanic and the love of cars and engines followed him throughout his life. David enjoyed sci-fi movies, working on his mustang convertible, as well as designing and landscaping the exterior of his home.

David had an impressive 30+ year career with Revlon/Elizabeth Arden working as their Replenishment Analyst at the Roanoke Logistics Center.

A Funeral Service was held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, January 27, 2024, at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 1887 Electric Road, Salem, VA 24018. Following the service, a reception was held in the fellowship hall.
