Alma Elizabeth (Alt) Frosch

Sauk Prairie--The Family of Alma Elizabeth (Alt) Frosch, age 105, of Sauk City, Wisconsin, is saddened to share with you her passing on January 19, 2024. Alma was born in Plain, Wisconsin on June 11, 1918, to Robert and Anna (Ringelstetter) Alt. She was #6 of 13 children. Alma met Harold William Frosch while they were both attendants in a mutual friend’s wedding. Alma and Harry were married on October 15, 1940. They were blessed with 10 children. Alma was a member of St. Aloysius Catholic Church and had a very strong faith which carried her throughout her life. Harry and Alma were proprietors of The Blaze Supper Club from 1945 to 1965. Harry passed away on August 27, 1962 at the early age of 53. Alma continued to operate The Blaze until 1965. She continued her profession in the food service industry while working at the Sauk Prairie Hospital Dietary for the next 11 years.
Alma is survived by her children Charlene Blum, Tom (Alice), Judy (Walter) Peetz, Harold, Bonnie Reible, Dick (Jeanne), Barb (Orville) Wright, Sandra (Ron) Wartzok, Terry (Saroya), 25 grandchildren, 44 great-grandchildren and 17 great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband Harry, daughter Sharon, son-in-law’s Jerry Booth, Edward Blum, Laverne (Buster) Reible; her brothers Herb, Leonard, Sylvester, Charles, Louis, Daniel, and Robert; her sisters Celia, Clara, Marie, Florence, Catherine, and Helen.
Alma’s family would like to extend a special thank you to Father James Kotch, St. Croix Hospice, and the staff at Maplewood of Sauk Prairie.
A Mass of Christian burial was held at 11:00 a.m .on Thursday, January 25, 2024 at St. Aloysius Catholic Church, Sauk City. A visitation was held from 9:30 to 10:45 a.m. at the Hooverson Funeral Home, Sauk City. Burial followed in the church cemetery.
