Obituary: John H. Norling

John H. Norling, age 73 years, of Wonewoc, Wisconsin, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, February 6, 2024 at home with loving family by his side.

He was born on April 24, 1950 to L. J. “Buzz” and Lucille (Smith) Norling in Fargo, North Dakota, where he grew to adulthood and graduated from high school.

John was married to Kitty (Kucher) Norling for 18 years and lived in the Wonewoc area. He retired from Friede and Associates after working there over 30 years.

His passions included fishing, hunting, his animals, his grandchildren, scavenging for antiques, camping and taking road trips.

Surviving family are his children, Amie (Andrew) Thomas of California, Derek (Crystal) Norling of Mauston and Kelly Norling of Mauston; grandchildren, Lauren and Colton Hale, Jordan Norling, Clara Glodek, Sydney and Darian Norling, Elena Glodek, Tyler, Kally, Kalyn Norling and Jack Raspotnik; and siblings, Stacy (Dan) Danielson and family, Claire, Coffey and Clay Danielson of North Dakota and Julie Weise and daughter, Laura Weise of North Dakota.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Kitty Norling on July 11, 2001; son, Randall Norling on December 27, 2022; and parents, Buzz and Lucille.
