Juan Carlos De La Cruz Lopez
Juan Carlos De La Cruz Lopez, age 56, of Richland Center, died Wednesday, January 17, 2024, at the UW Hospital from injuries sustained in a work accident. Juan Carlos was born in Mexico. He grew up and was raised in Concordia, Coahuila. When he was 14 years old he started doing seasonal field work with his father in Arena. After many years of traveling back and forth to Mexico and Wisconsin he and his wife decided to bring their kids to Wisconsin to give them a better life and live the American dream. He was the life of parties and was always the first one to hit the dance floor. He was a very hard worker and was always helping others even if he barely knew them. He sacrificed not seeing his family in Mexico to give his family a better life. He always lightened everyone’s mood as soon as he walked into a room. Every time he saw his grandchildren he always got a hug and a kiss from them. And he always told his family that no matter what happened he was never going to leave his family behind. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends. Survivors include his wife, Sanjuana Garcia Fernandez; six children; Diana De La Cruz (Branden Halverson), Alma L. De La Cruz (Enrique Loza), Joselin De La Cruz (Jacinto Vazquez), Esmeralda De La Cruz (Jesus Salas), Jose Carlos De La Cruz (Kylea Kaye), and Kristen De La Cruz; 13 grandchildren, Kiana L. Halverson, Briana W. Halverson, Emmett A. Twining, Estrella Pino De La Cruz, Sofia Loza De La Cruz, Alan Loza De La Cruz, Dannelly Lopez De La Cruz, Victoria Elias De La Cruz, Ximena Elias De La Cruz, Daniela Yamilet Vasquez De La Cruz, Catalina Amaya Vasquez De La Cruz, Olivea Jo De La Cruz, and Jack Jose De La Cruz; father, Vicente De La Cruz; five siblings, Teresa De La Cruz, Hector Luis De La Cruz, Arcelia De La Cruz, Damaris De La Cruz, and Vicente De La Cruz; other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his mother, Ma De Jesus Lopez Lara; granddaughter, Camila Susana Vasquez De La Cruz. Funeral Services were held on Monday, January 22, 2024, at the Clary Memorial Funeral Home with Fr. Jesus Tores and Pastor Alba Mejia officiating.
