Obituary: Richard Benesh

Richard Benesh, age 88, of Reedsburg passed away Friday November 3rd at the Sauk County Health Care Center after a brief illness.

Born May 20, 1935 in Chicago, Illinois to Caroline and James Benesh.

He married Noreen Prerost on December 31, 1957.

He worked as a semitruck driver while in Chicago, then moved to La Valle, Wisconsin in 1972. He served as a Spring Green Police Officer for 10 years. He then became a part time constable for La Valle township for 18 years, while also working as a school bus driver.

He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Noreen, three sons, Terry (Penny) of Phillips, Wisconsin, Rick (friend Jane) of Eden Prairie, Minnesota, Jeffrey (Toni) of Reedsburg, five grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren, and sister Dorothy Cartier of Ludington, Michigan. Per his request there will be no funeral service.
