Thomas Lee Baumgartner

It is with heavy hearts we announce Thomas Lee Baumgartner, age 61 was called home on March 31st, 2023, after a very long and courageous battle with kidney and heart disease.  He was born on February 17th, 1962, to Shirley (Burton) and Roger Baumgartner in Baraboo, Wisconsin. He grew up in Merrimac, Wisconsin and later moved to Texas. He is survived by his son TJ Baumgartner of Bandera, Texas, daughter Kristina Baumgartner of San Antonio, Texas, along with two beautiful granddaughters, Lenae of Bandera, Texas, and Suzannah of San Antonio, Texas, his brother Mike (Diane) Baumgartner of Baraboo, Wisconsin, sister Cindy Diehl of Boerne, Texas and brother Mark Baumgartner of Cadiz, Kentucky, nieces Jessica Kramer of Madison, Wisconsin, Myndi Allen of Reedsburg, Wisconsin and Stephanie Knott of Wisconsin Dells, Wisconsin, nephew Cody Zuniga of Boerne, Texas, many cousins and cherished friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Shirley (Burton) and Roger Baumgartner, sister Linda Baumgartner, nephew Jeremy Baumgartner, grandparents Jake and Gwen Baumgartner and Elsie and Orin Burton. Tom spent much of his life in the swimming pool construction field and had an amazing love for his children, his grandchildren and his family. He loved heavy metal music (especially AC/DC, Black Sabbath, Led Zeppelin), NASCAR (especially Dale Earnhardt), the Green Bay Packers…and a good fajita plate. Let’s all continue to honor his memory by enjoying a fajita plate at your favorite restaurant with your family, listening to some 80’s/90’s metal or rock music, and cheering on the Green Bay Packers.  A celebration of life will be held on Friday, May 12th at 6 p.m. at the Boerne Lake City Park Pavilion, Boerne, Texas.
