Obituary: Casey Daniel Mundth

Casey Daniel Mundth, 47 of Reedsburg, passed away February 28, 2023 at UW Hospital surrounded by his family after a devastating battle with a rare autoimmune disorder scleroderma. Casey was born in Reedsburg, Wisconsin to Dan and Kathy (McHenry) Mundth November 1, 1975.

Casey was a 1994 graduate of Reedsburg High School. He was an avid sports enthusiast and especially enjoyed watching the Packers, Cubs, and his nieces’ and nephews’ sporting events. He loved his family and friends and especially adored his dog Loki. He enjoyed being outdoors, hunting, fishing, and making maple syrup. His yearly sturgeon fishing trips with his good buddy was something he looked forward to most. His prize catch was on Rainy River where he battled and caught a 60 inch sturgeon. Casey was the life of any party drawing the attention of the crowd as he methodically did the worm. He was always up for a competitive game of euchre or a roll of the dice.

He is survived by his parents Dan and Kathy Mundth, his sisters Tonya (Jamie) Brandt, Katie (Grant) Westerman and Brooke (Chad) Schakelman; nieces and nephews, Caden, Carsen and Kate Brandt, Ryan Westerman, and Kensley, Calder, and Beckett Schakelman as well as beloved aunts and uncles, cousins, and dear friends.
