Raymond E. “Gene” “Wildey” Roessler Raymond E. “Gene” “Wildey” Roessler, age 92 of Plain, passed away on Sunday, February 5,  2023, at Pine Valley Community Village.  He was born on September 10, 1930, the son of Frank and Edna (Regals) Roessler.  Gene was married on September 19, 1953, to the former Beulah Mae Karel at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Loreto.  Gene farmed most of his life and enjoyed fishing and hunting.   Survivors include his seven children, Mary Jane (Earl) “Cubby” Ruhland, Jean Ann (Dennis) Dankert, Francis (Jamie) Roessler, Patricia Roessler, Vickie (Jerry) Nachreiner, Alan (Diane) Roessler, Randy Roessler; 27 grandchildren; 40 great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; two sisters, Shirley Nickerson, Marge Fargen; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Edna Roessler; his wife, Beulah M. “Tootie” Roessler; a daughter, Rita Hess; a son, Joseph Roessler; four brothers, John, Tom, LaVerne and Francis “Fritz” Roessler. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, February 10, 2023, at 11 a.m. at Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church in Keyesville.  Monsignor Roger Scheckel will officiate with burial in the church cemetery.  Visitation will be held on Friday at the church from 10 a.m. until the time of Mass.  In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to a charity of choice.   Online condolences  available at www.staffordfuneralhomes.com.  The Richardson-Stafford Funeral Home in Spring Green is assisting the family with the arrangements.
